Robin
Genis

The origin of the idea and how it is being developed.

About the author

Robin Genis is from Haarlem and works as a control-room operator for Haarlem's parking garages. His interests include philosophy, music and technology. The Effortless Effect began as his thought that everything can be understood through effect and least resistance.

The simple early examples remain the entry point: paper, a cup, a button. The ambition developed into a question about the ground of reality and a possible derivation of the fine-structure constant.

The nature of the project

EEML is independent work in progress. This website presents philosophical starting points, conditional mathematics and a research programme. The current version claims neither a confirmed law of nature nor a completed derivation of α.

Contributions

The original core ideas are Robin Genis's. Thanks to Silas van Bezu for philosophical discussions and sharpening the idea. Claude AI (Anthropic) assisted earlier elaborations. Codex (OpenAI) assisted the editorial revision of September 2026.

AI assistance is not independent scientific verification. Arguments, code and conclusions must be checkable on their merits.

Why the archive remains

A new account must not make earlier mistakes invisible. The previous site is therefore preserved, including predictions, preprint references and corrections. The changelog explains what this version assesses differently.
