The original idea starts with ordinary objects. Paper stores information. A lighter makes fire accessible. A cup helps carry and drink liquids. A button simplifies an action.
“A piece of paper is efficient for the storage of information.”
Objects make an effect achievable with less effort or greater control. This is the accessible starting point of the Effortless Effect. In human design the purpose is often recognisable. Which effort counts depends on that purpose and the circumstances.
“Everything is based on effortless effect. Yes, everything.”
Robin extends the thought to growth, motion and cooperation. Can these processes also be understood as continuation along least resistance? The move from tools to all of nature is the proposal to investigate.
A plant, a flock and the early cosmos are not interchangeable examples of one already proved mechanism. They need their own explanations. The old description of the Big Bang as a dense point collapsing is therefore not used as current cosmological explanation.
The proposal does not stop with phenomena. A total Effortless Effect is itself based on Effortless Effect. This is the intended self-application: the whole needs no external agent to switch the principle on.
“Nothing does not exist” and the zero point as everything and nothing at once belong to this philosophical ground. The revised account preserves that core while distinguishing meaning, assumption and proof.
“Entertainment is an efficient way for experiencing emotion.”
The original text also played with convenience, art and laziness. These examples help raise questions about purposes and effort. They do not establish universal optimality of human behaviour or prescribe a morality.
This page is an edited reading route with short quotations from the original thought, not a verbatim reproduction of all versions. The historical origin document and its contemporary annotations remain available. The present ambition is concrete: investigate whether the meta-law can support a route to K3, χ=24 and ultimately α.
