and open questions

Each major claim carries its own burden of proof.

How to read the labels Research protocol

A label applies to the stated claim and its conditions, not to the whole theory. Formal checking and physical confirmation are different things.

Starting point
Philosophical position or definition; not a measurement.
Formally derived
Consequence of an exact statement with a formally checked proof. The existing Lean results qualify within their assumptions.
Conditionally derived
Mathematical or physical consequence under explicit conditions; not necessarily machine checked.
Model input
Chosen states, measure, fields, scale, parameters or data.
Open
Research question without a completed derivation or test.
Historical-revised
Earlier claim withdrawn, restricted or reclassified.
Experimentally measured
Observation with a source and uncertainty. A measurement used as input is not an EEML prediction.
Research protocol
Method with inputs, comparison and failure criteria fixed in advance.

K3 / χ=24K3 as the uniquely selected or most efficient universeHistorical-revised K3 has χ=24; this is not a universal EEML score. Existence, weight and unique selection are separate questions. Details →
ε≈1A fixed scale for dischargesHistorical-revised Historical-revised as an established fact. ε≈1 is at most a model choice or estimate to test after choosing units, costs and data; no universal measurement is claimed here. Details →
N_gen=χ/8=3Three generations derived from 24Historical-revised 24/8=3 is arithmetic. Connecting χ to generations requires a physical model with fields, bundles and an index calculation; it does not follow from χ(K3) alone. Details →
24 → αA direct derivation of the couplingHistorical-revised The direct leap is not retained as a derivation. Action, normalisation, moduli, spectrum and running still need to close the full chain. Details →
25 rulesAll rules as equally established lawsHistorical-revised Replaced by four core rules with distinct roles. Earlier formulations remain available as history. Details →

These reclassifications do not erase earlier predictions, misses or research results. See the changelog →.

What holds and what remains open? Open

The exponential core and symmetry theorems retain their bounded formal status from the 16 September check. The new glue examples are conditional calculations and established theoretical context, not new experimental confirmation. Still open: a physical configuration space and measure, the meaning and scale of costs, a formal bridge from the zero point, a model of self-application and distinguishing retrodictions.

For α, the spectrum and normalisation errors remain relevant, as do the missing derivation of coefficients and electromagnetic identification. This editorial update does not repeat the full earlier research audit.
